Limestone District School Board is a public school district in Kingston, Ontario, welcoming international students in Grades 7–12 for a true Canadian school experience. Students can join for one semester (5 months) or a full school year (10 months)—with the option to work toward the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)—while studying alongside Canadian classmates with ESL support. Limestone’s OSSD program lets international students study in a real Canadian public high school and work toward the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Students earn academic credits across core subjects, with a clear pathway to college and university in Canada. Support is built in: students are placed at the right level, can take ESL classes across five levels when needed, and receive guidance from an academic counsellor for course selection and progress. The school year runs on a two-semester schedule (September–January and February–June) with four classes per day.

Limestone’s OSSD fees cover public high school tuition, course placement and ongoing academic/ESL support. Airport pickup is free from Kingston (YGK); from Toronto (YYZ), Ottawa (YOW) or Montreal (YUL) it’s $400 one-way private transfer, or free if you arrive/depart on program dates. Outside program dates: +$40/day (approval required). Not included: homestay, insurance, visa fees; extras: dietary $130/month, validation $250.
STEP 1 e 2: Fundamentals (A1 - Beginner e A2 - Elementary).
A1 introductory phase focuses on immediate, practical communication. Students master the absolute basics necessary for everyday survival.
A2 expands vocabulary and grammatical knowledge to discuss personal history, routine, and immediate environment.
STEP 3 e 4: Independence (B1 - Intermediate e B2 Upper-Intermediate)
B1 is the bridge to independent language use. Students develop the ability to express opinions, handle real-life situations, and describe feelings.
Students at B2 can engage in sophisticated conversations and use language effectively in academic or professional settings.
STEP 5: Mastery and Professionalism (C1 - Advanced)
This final stage prepares students for university-level work or high-level professional environments, emphasizing clarity, precision, and style.
