LSI Education has been providing high-quality language education and international exchange opportunities to students from around the world for over 60 years. Founded in the United Kingdom, LSI operates a well-established campus in Auckland, New Zealand, alongside a global network of language schools, colleges, and pathway programs across North America, Europe, and Oceania.

Our English programs in New Zealand are delivered in small classes by experienced instructors, within a friendly and multicultural learning environment. In addition to General English, LSI New Zealand offers a wide range of courses including Academic English and pathway support for further study, Business English for professionals, and specialized programs designed to meet individual learning objectives.

For long-term students, LSI New Zealand also provides practical employment support to help them gain work experience while studying. This includes guidance on CV preparation, interview skills, workplace communication, and understanding New Zealand’s working culture. During the lessons, you will rapidly improve your communication skills in a variety of everyday situations. Classes cover grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will use a textbook in conjunction with a wide variety of materials and exercises including role-plays, authentic materials, newspapers, magazines, YouTube and other internet content.

LSI’s Pathways program includes the Academic English course. This course is built by the counselor, student, and academic manager to give the student the best chance of reaching their chosen institution’s academic targets.

The course is a combination of:

  • Cambridge Assessment exam preparation
  • Academic exam preparation (IELTS/TOEFL), depending on the student’s needs and chosen institution

 

Business class
English is the international language of business. LSI offers a special, flexible 12-module Business English course designed to help students improve their business communication skills quickly. Every 12 weeks, the modules are updated with a fresh syllabus, allowing students who study for longer to consolidate and expand their knowledge in specific areas without repeating the same material.

Our homestays are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to experience Kiwi culture in a comfortable and welcoming home environment while studying English in Auckland.

Students can choose single or twin rooms with bed and breakfast or half-board, and all bed linen and towels are provided and changed weekly. Most host families also wash the student’s laundry at least once a week at no extra cost.

Dormitory / Student Residence

LSI Auckland offers residence options that are suitable for independent students looking for clean, basic, and affordable self-catering accommodation in the city.

Options such as YMCA are located in central Auckland, around a 5-minute walk from LSI, and offer single rooms with shared bathroom facilities, kitchen access, Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, and common areas.
