VECTOR English is a training-focused language school specialized in Japanese students who want to become fluent English speakers. Our unique curriculum emphasizes intensive English output practice while deepening students’ understanding of grammar and pronunciation through clear explanations in Japanese. All classes are taught by bilingual instructors who are experts in the common difficulties Japanese learners face.
We offer small-sized classes that cater to a wide range of learners — from complete beginners to those preparing for English proficiency exams. In addition, our flexible online and one-on-one courses make it possible to support students of any level.
With over 3,800 graduates to date, VECTOR English has earned an excellent reputation in Vancouver, often receiving feedback such as, “I wish I had studied at VECTOR from the beginning.

Spots are limited, and deadlines are subject to change. We recommend all students to contact Go! Go! Nihon and submit their application well in advance of the deadline. We are also accepting early applications for the April 2026 term.
Classes are conducted primarily in Japanese, and all students are Japanese. By learning in Japanese, students can clearly understand the material and then use it effectively through practical exercises with native English-speaking instructors. This curriculum emphasizes “understanding first, then applying,” helping learners turn comprehension into real skills. It effectively develops English speaking ability at any level.
“Even after studying abroad, I still can’t speak English.”
“I study English, but I never become fluent.”
VECTOR analyzed the reasons behind these frustrations and built its program on learning methods uniquely developed by experienced instructors. We also focus on helping students recognize and correct their own mistakes and weaknesses to strengthen their self-improvement skills.
Everyone’s English learning experience, goals, and study style are different. We propose the most suitable classes and learning methods tailored to your English level and objectives. Our instructors and staff monitor your progress and work with you to set the next goals.
Since its founding in 2015, VECTOR has grown through word of mouth from graduates who improved their English using our original method. Highly rated by Japanese students studying abroad, we’ve helped over 3,800 learners* achieve results. Many students who initially plan to attend “just for a month” often continue for several months because they can feel their own progress — one of our school’s biggest strengths.
■ Grammar Input Class (up to 2 months)
This class is ideal for those who want to “start over with English” or who “know grammar but can’t speak.” Memorizing grammar rules alone doesn’t lead to speaking ability. Using our original “Spell Method,” this course activates memory and drills grammar patterns intensively, like muscle training, to make them usable in speaking. Students review and organize grammar starting from junior high school basics, ensuring that all English rules are thoroughly and accurately mastered from the ground up.
■ Conversation Output Class (up to 3 months)
A conversation-focused course designed to improve pronunciation, natural word order, and speaking fluency. Students practice putting correct grammar into spoken form. With our original “Pronunciation Method,” learners train until they can naturally produce English sounds—focusing on tongue position, sound placement, and breath control—so they can speak in a way that’s easily understood by native speakers. The class also helps students acquire practical daily expressions and develop the ability to express their thoughts quickly and confidently.
■ Practical Communication Class
This class aims not only to “speak English” but to “communicate deeply,” developing all language skills in a well-balanced way. The goal is to hold meaningful conversations on an equal footing with native speakers—communicating accurately, clearly, and spontaneously. Through various topic-based speaking tasks, students cultivate the ability to explore ideas in depth. The class also includes shadowing and writing practice using authentic materials such as news articles, helping learners master advanced English expressions. Highly recommended for those preparing for study abroad or relocation overseas.
