Global Village Hawaii

Level A1 (Breakthrough)
Learners can interact in a simple way by asking and answering basic questions about personal details and immediate needs. This stage moves beyond rehearsed phrases to allow for genuine, though limited, communication on very familiar topics.
Level A2 (Waystage)
This level focuses on social functions like basic greetings and invitations, as well as managing practical tasks like shopping or using public transport. Learners can handle short social exchanges and provide basic information about their work or free time.
Level B1 (Threshold)
Speakers can maintain conversations on familiar topics and express their main points comprehensibly, despite some pauses for grammatical planning. They are also capable of handling most routine problems encountered while traveling or in daily life.

Level B1+ (Strong Threshold)
At this level, learners can exchange significant factual information, such as describing medical symptoms or giving detailed instructions. They are also able to summarize short stories or articles and provide personal opinions on them with confidence.
Level B2 (Vantage)
This stage focuses on effective argumentation, allowing speakers to sustain opinions and interact fluently with native speakers without strain. It also marks a degree of language awareness where learners can consciously monitor and correct their own mistakes.
Level B2+ (Strong Vantage)
Speakers demonstrate advanced discourse skills by skillfully relating their contributions to others and managing complex discussions. They use a variety of linking words to develop systematic arguments with clear relationships between ideas.

Level C1 (Effective Operational Proficiency)
Communication is fluent and spontaneous, allowing for the effortless expression of complex ideas using a broad lexical range. Speech is well-structured and clear, utilizing sophisticated cohesive devices to maintain a smooth flow even on difficult subjects.
Level C2 (Mastery)
This level is characterized by extreme precision and the ability to convey subtle shades of meaning through idiomatic and colloquial language. Any linguistic difficulties are handled so smoothly through restructuring that the listener is rarely aware of them.

The English Plus programs combine standard language lessons with exciting local activities such as surfing, yoga, hula dancing, and playing the ukulele. These courses offer students a unique opportunity to improve their English proficiency while fully immersing themselves in the rich culture and tropical lifestyle of Hawaii.

The English + Surfing tuition includes two 1-hour private surfing lessons per week, along with surfboard and rashguard rental. (Prices for Yoga, Hula, and Ukulele vary slightly). BEGINNER: Develops basic conversational skills and everyday vocabulary, combined with beginner-friendly instruction in the chosen activity (e.g., catching your first wave or learning basic ukulele chords).

INTERMEDIATE: Refines English fluency and introduces more complex sentence structures. Activity classes progress to intermediate techniques, helping students engage more deeply with Hawaiian culture.

ADVANCED: Focuses on achieving high-level command of English. In activity classes, students refine their skills, confidently discussing techniques, culture, and lifestyle with local instructors.

English Pro

English Pro Program is for students wishing to enhance their English language study with personalized instruction in specific topics of interest by offering them a customizable, comprehensive package. Student Enroll in the General English Program (GEP) for 16 or 20 lessons per week and in addition to GEP, student take 2, 4, or 6 Tutorials per week that focus on their chosen Topic of Interest such as Cambridge FCE, Eiken, Duolingo, IELTS, Business English, TOEIC, TOEFL, Aviation etc.
